IAGL LEAGUE FORMAT

The Indo-American Golf League ("IAGL") is an individual handicap-based stroke play golf league that plays monthly tournaments throughout the Houston Gulf-Coast area.

The IAGL season consists of 12 monthly tournaments beginning in November and ending in October (generally on the third Saturday of every month).  We play 9 regular season tournaments, 2 Major tournaments and 1 Championship tournament.  Players compete in 2 flights throughout the season with 2 Champions crowned.

Players earn points and cash prizes for how they finish relative to other players in their respective Flight.  The lowest "handicap-adjusted net scores" determine the winners in each Flight.

Regular season tournaments are worth 1x the points. Out of the 10 regular season tournaments, only a player's top 5 scores count towards the Championship.

Major tournaments are worth 2x the points.  Out of the 2 Major tournaments, only a player's one best Major finish counts towards the Championship

The IAGL Championship is worth 3x the points.  Points are totaled and each Flight's winners are determined by computing a player's total eligible points accumulated throughout the season.

The IAGL League Flight Champions, along with the other league winners, are recognized at our annual IAGL Championship Gala.
