The GOLFBC GROUP BC WOMEN’S OPEN, presented by Boyd Autobody & Glass is a 36-Hole Stroke Play Championship contested at Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club.  The event is open to both Female Professionals as well as Female Amateurs with a registered Golf Canada or USGA handicap of 20.0 or less. 

 

The Championship will contest and play out for three separate trophies:

 

  • Overall Champion
  • Amateur Champion
  • Amateur Net Champion

 

Players will also compete within their own division for either the Professional cash purse or Amateur Prizing:

 

  • Professional Division: $10,000 Purse (based on 36 Pros)
  • Four Amateur Divisions:
    • Championship Division (4.0 & Less)
    • Division One (4.1 to 10.0)
    • Division Two (10.1 to 20.0)
    • Senior Division (55+ years as of June 4th)

 

Points earned from this event for all players will count towards the 2022 SRIXON/CLEVELAND Order of Merit for over $20,000 in year-end prizes. 

    

All players are asked to create a VGT Player Profile in Golf Genius in order to register for the 2022 BC Women’s Open.

THE 2022 BC WOMEN’S OPEN CHAMPION RECEIVES A FREE ENTRY & RETURN FLIGHT TO PLAY IN THE MONDAY QUALIFYING EVENT FOR THE ’22 CP WOMEN’S OPEN   

 

QUALIFYING DATE: Monday, August 22nd

VENUE: The Marshes Golf Club (Ottawa)

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: August 19, 2022

 

The 2022 BC WOMEN’S OPEN Champion will win a

complimentary return flight and paid entry fee to play in the

CP WOMEN’S OPEN FINAL QUALIFYING on Aug.22nd

at the Marshes Golf Club.

 

QUALIFYING FORMAT:

The LPGA Tour will conduct an 18-hole stroke play competition to determine the four (4) lowest qualifiers*. Each of these qualifiers will receive exemptions directly into the CP Women’s Open.

ENTRY PROCEDURE:

All players are responsible for registering for the qualifying event themselves.  The winner of the BC Women’s Open will then have their qualifying entry fee re-imbursed to them in full.

All qualifying entries will be taken through the Portal App. Players wishing to enter who do not already have the Portal App can download it using the links below. Questions can be directed to tourops@lpga.com.

Professional Purse: $10,000*

First place:  $3,000*. Top 30% of Professionals will be paid out.

  • The top 25% of the Amateur field will win a share of the prizing.

PRACTICE ROUNDS

 

BC Women's Open competitors are being offered the Mayfair Lakes Member/Guest rate for practice rounds the week leading up to the competition.  Tee-times in 2-somes or more can be booked by calling the golf shop at 604.276.0585 and letting the staff know you are playing in the BC Women's Open to receive the guest rate. 

Singles will receive the guest rate, but will be on a stand-by basis. 

Our suggestion for singles is to enquire with golf shop staff if there are any 2-somes or 3-somes booked on the day you would like to play for the best opportunity to join a group on standby. 

 

Daily Member/Guest Rate: $84.15.  After 4pm: $67.15

 

 

EVENT TEE-TIMES

12:00pm to 3:00pm both days. 

 

If you have a request for an early or late tee-time on day one, please send your request via ‘message the manager’ link upon registration, or by emailing operations@vancouvergolftour.com no later than one week out.

Round two tee-times will be based on round one gross scores with the leaders in each division tee-ing off last within their division.

VGT & PGA Members:          $250 + GST = $262.50

Non-Carded Pros:                 $300 + GST = $315.00

 

AMATEURS

All Amateurs: $250+GST = $262.50*

Order of Merit (OOM) points will be awarded in each category of membership as follows:

Course Details

Mayfair Lakes, designed by Les Furber, is a par 71 with over 6,600 yards of greens and winding fairways. The allure of Mayfair Lakes is evident as you approach the first tee and are able to admire the lush fairways and panoramic view of the North Shore Mountains. Year round, your golfing experience is enhanced by the immaculate course conditions and the unique links design.

 

Directions: From Vancouver drive south on Hwy 99, exit Shell Road, south to Westminster Hwy, then east to No. 7 Road. Turn left and head north towards the mountains. The club is on the right.
