DUES

How are my TPGL DUES spent?

TPGL member dues are allocated to providing best-available season tee times and green fee rates at roughly 15 premium golf courses in the northern Illinois and Lake Geneva, WI area. In addition, dues are used to fund close to $7,000 worth of awards in the form of Club House merchandise at the Arboretum, trophies, a year-end banquet, and maintaining an interactive/user friendly Website via Golf Genius.

 

VALUE-ADDED ARRANGEMENTS:

  •  As part of our agreement with each course, we have made a special "preferred tee time priority" arrangement where each course has booked (a year in advance) a one hour block of times for the TPGL on the 2018 weekend dates the TPGL is scheduled to play.  This is contingent on the TPGL giving the host golf course a spot in its season-long course rotation and also providing a firm headcount – both foursomes and players - 10 days before each round. If we have any tee times or spots of that hour that we cannot fill, the golf course will take back the unused times and sell them on their own. On the flip side, if we have a full field and need more than one hour, we can ask for additional times and receive priority booking.
  • In addition, each course has provided the TPGL with best available green fee rates taking into consideration the size of our group and our frequency of play at the golf course.
  • As part of our new arrangement with the Arboretum Golf Course, all TPGL members receive the Arboretum Advantage Card free of charge ($125 value to the public). The Advantage Card provides a discount on weekday green fees ($28 with cart) and a 20% discount on gift merchandise (excluding golf balls). It also includes a 20% discount on food only items at the snack shop/restaurant. Top finishers in the head to head matches, the majors, opening day scramble and year-end championship will be awarded gift merchandise cards redeemable at the Arboretum Golf Course Pro Shop.  If requested merchandise is not in stock, it can be ordered. The gift cards can also be used for green fees and cart fees at the Arboretum.
