Competitions

The Competitions in 2013 will again be anchored by Individual Medal Play (the regular Saturday and Sunday Weekly Games) culminating in the Stroke Play Tour Championship. The 24 players with the lowest net average score at the end of play the Sunday prior to the Championship and who have played at least 15 League events, qualify for this tournament. This is a 72 hole event over two weekends. One cut is made after round 2 to the lowest 16 plus any player within 7 strokes of the leader. It is the only TPGL event for which Members must qualify to participate.

Eleven other Major Tournaments, including the Steeple Chase Club Championship, three 2-man events, two 4-man events, individual match play, and a Ryder Cup are part of the TPGL this year. Two individual medal events are two day tournaments with a cut.

Every Major Tournament will not only have a Purse in the form of Steeple Chase Pro Shop credits, but will also allow accumulation of Player of the Year Points. The Player of the Year Award is meant to recognize the season long success and participation of a TPGL player who may or may not qualify to compete for the League Championship.
